When we created a stored procedure from sas eg using a code, we can create a propt by using utility,
For eg , if we create a Text, date or number type input promt, we can handle the value by using macro variable of same name as promt name.
Like if we create run_date prompt then we can us its value using &run_date.

So of i want to create a file or directory type of input for taking a xlsx file as input from input prompt, how that file need to be handled in code.

Hi,

simply use the macro variable that refers to the xlsx file in double quotes:
LIBNAME xl XLSX "&yourPromptPath..xlsx";
