I'm running SAS program in server using Winscp now i need to stop the process, can any one help to how to stop it using Putty
Can any one give command to kill the Job using JobID
In UNIX, the kill command is used to send a signal to a process (or processes). Without a parameter, it sends SIGTERM, allowing the process to terminate gracefully; if that does not work, you need to use kill -9 <processnumber>. This sends SIGKILL, and the process can't ignore that (the kernel terminates it).
The command must either be sent by the user owning the process, or by root.
If that's lsf then you can also use the lsf bkill command.
