I need to import the below data from excel to a sas dataset.

Data in the excel looks as follows

$16.10

$10.93
$9.56
$8.50
$8.34

This is how it should look in the data set without dollar sign

16.10

10.93
9.56
8.50
8.34

When I print the same data set it should be as follows

$16.10

$10.93
$9.56
$8.50
$8.34

I know that .lst can be acheived by using  the below code.

My question to the experts is that if there is a way that it can be formatted and informatted in input statement is what I am looking for?

PROC PRINT DATA=XXXX;

FORMAT column DOLLAR20.2;

RUN;
