Hello,

How do I find ".OD." with the 2 dots either side within a character?

I have tried the prxmatch function but it is ignoring the dots either side and just finding the 'OD'.

eg:

OD2 = prxmatch("m/.OD./ois", productcode);

thanks

Sally

The period is a special character in regular expressions. It must be escaped to be interpreted as the period character.

OD2 = prxmatch("m/\.OD\./ois", productcode);

Is OD what you want to find, or a period, two characters and another period?

If it's the first, have you tried FIND() or INDEX()?

OD2 = find(productcode, '.OD.', 'i');
