Hello,

We will be migrating from SAS 9.3 to SAS Viya in the near future and I would like to ask if the ExcelXP tagset which outputs files in xml format is supported on SAS Viya. I am referring to running SAS programs on the traditional SAS Foundation server on Viya rather than the CAS server.

Thank you

This is a question I'd be interested in knowing the answer to as well since we use the ExcelXP tagset with SAS 9.4 and will be migrating to SAS Viya 4 soon. In principle I can't see why it wouldn't work. The tagset is available as a download even if it isn't installed by default. I'm well aware that ODS EXCEL is a better option, but that would require a lot of rework post-migration.

I believe the ODS ExcelXP tagset is downloadable as TPL file. It might not be installed by default in a SAS Viya environment, but you could add it or any other tagset definition.
