I got this error message on sas:

"ERROR: some character data was lost during transcoding in the dataset amis.hddata"

what is wrong in my dataset and how can I fix this?

Use proc contents to check which encoding was used to create the dataset, the compare it to the encoding of your sas session. Changing the encoding of your sas-session will solve the issue.

Hello. Can you give me an example for this?

Depends on how you are using sas and the encoding you need.

If you are using sas on a server contact the admins.
