Hi, I am trying to import a csv file and this error keeps on popping up.

238  proc import out= input.x datafile= "&root\data\Input\x.csv" dbms=csv replace;
239       getnames=yes;
240       datarow=2;
241       guessingrows=200;

ERROR: Import cancelled. The dataset INPUT.X is being used and cannot be replaced.

but i have been able to successfully upload other csv files with the same line of code. I've checked multiple times, the file isn't open or in use. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

have you created before the dataset input.x ? pay attention - it is not the CSV file that make the issue.

Do you have that dataset open? or maybe it was created dammaged?

Cheeck library INPUT and delete dataset X.

It was the name of the dataset from the out= statement that was throwing it off. Thank you!
