Assume I write a libname as follows:

libname ReferenceName "Path_to_the_folder" access = readonly;

and there are multiple data files in that location (eg: ABC.sas7bdat, XYZ.sas7bdat, PQR.sas7bdat).

My question is: does READONLY access get applied to all of the above data files or do I have to specifically mention that for the file I want to deal with?

Thanks for the support everyone.

From the documentation:

READONLY

assigns a read-only attribute to an entire SAS library. SAS does not allow you to open a data set in the library in order to update information or write new information.
