Hi all,
I have date column, that is in char yyyymmdd

I tried input and applied format, the output is blank.
Plz help

    numdate=input(chardate, yymmdd8.);
    format numdate date9.;

There are so many ways that one can "try input" that you really need to show the code you attempted and the log from running the code.

Copy the code and any messages from the Log and paste into a code box opened on the forum with the {I} or "running man" icons.

Better would be to include example data in the form of a data step.
