PROC COMPARE is a good place to start but I would expect many issues when importing from Excel and comparing to a DB.

Excel doesn't enforce data types, ie a column can contain a mix of numeric and character data. When SAS imports that data it has to guess at types and lengths, which are usually rigidly enforced in a DB. But PROC COMPARE is a good starting point.

To add to what @Reeza wrote: Do you already know how to read Excel data and a SQL Server table into SAS?
