I have a problem:
I'm using the following:
PROC MIXED;
CLASS Genotype;
MODEL sheep weight=age year of birth sex;
RANDOM age of mother;
RUN;

I want to add two covariates to the model. So my question is where in the model can I put the covariates that I defined for example, father's weight, father's age.

Thank you very much

You put the covariates in the MODEL statement to the right of the equal sign, it doesn't matter where.

Are these " two covariates" FIXED effect or RANDOM effect. if they are FIXED,put them into MODEL statement, otherwise put them into RANDOM statement.
