Closing project in SAS EG

I have a project file with about 2 dozen or so saved programs, an ordered list, and some prompts.  Each day when I close the project, it takes several minutes as it counts "to check if items are temporary".  What could be causing this to take so long and what can I do to speed it up? 

Note: I do not have admin rights on my machine in case any solution requires it.

There is a setting in the options for this, but I can't look for the exact location in the menu, as there's no EG on a Mac available.

Tools --> Options --> Data --> Data General and unchecking "Always prompt when closing a project with temporary data references"
