Hi all,
im trying to create a code that can clean my database. Basically, I am trying to clean the database from invalid record entries (i.e. therefore removing records containing responses using special characters such as $, #, % and pasting them into a separate SAS table).
The column name with special containing responses needing cleaning is "ID_Response".
I dont have a code to share because im not sure where to start. Any recommendations?
To find a certain character in a string, use the INDEXC Function.
data extract;
set have;
where indexc(id_response,'#') or indexc(id_response,'$') or indexc(id_response,'%');
run;
