Hi All,

Is there a way we can check names, phone numbers, street addresses or any other identifying information in a de-identified data?

We work on real-time information where actual information of people is stripped off before data comes to us, But there are times when some of the test fields happen to contain names of people along with unit information., has anybody ever worked on anything as this  before?

Appreciate your help in advance!

In the wake of GDPR automated detection and masking of PII columns got quite a bit of focus. I haven't used any of the SAS Solutions for this purpose but I know that there is "stuff" around - I believe even for real time using SAS ESP.

I would assume all approaches use the DataFlux QKB (quality knowledge base) which you might eventually already have licensed with one of the SAS bundles (like SAS Data Management).

Here a whitepaper I found. There might be other ones closer to your use case.
