Hello everyone,
I am in the process of importing and converting some financial dataset (as Excel) into a SAS dataset. Please see the attached - the sheet 1 is raw data on firm characteristics I have downloaded from a website. I would like to change the format of the sheet 1 dataset into something similar to the sheet 2 dataset for me to run some analysis. I have tried to use such technique as Proc Transpose, but haven't able to figure out exactly why.
Does anybody have any experience with this?
I sincerely appreciate your help.
Bet,
Kishiyo
Transpose is the correct approach. Please show what you've tried so far and indicate what isn't working specifically. "not working" can mean anything from you missed a semicolon to your computer exploded so it's a not an informative description of what is occuring.
