I have a dataset with a variable called "SIGNIFICANT". The value for this variable is either 1 or 0. I want to sum the values for SIGNIFICANT and calculate the % of this sum by the total number of members in the dataset. For example, the following data has 10 observations. The sum of the SIGNIFICANT field is 3, so I am looking to calculate 30%.
Model | significant |
Model1 | 0 |
Model2 | 1 |
Model3 | 0 |
Model4 | 1 |
Model5 | 0 |
Model6 | 0 |
Model7 | 0 |
Model8 | 0 |
Model9 | 0 |
Model10 | 1 |
proc sql;
select
sum(significant) / count(*) as percent format=percent7.2
from have;
quit;
