I appreciate Dr. DeHart's summary of the hot topics. Looking over his distillation got me thinking about the needs of potential users in addition to current users of SAS products and services.

1. Implementing SAS business intelligence at community colleges
a. Pricing--up-front costs and ongoing costs. Especially in challenging budget times, what approach is likely to allow more colleges to choose SAS?
b. Product and service range--BI lite to BI robust. Can certain features be offered and colleges add features as needed?
c. Technical issues--data compatibility, hardware needs. Are on-site and hosted solutions feasible and what issues are associated with each?

2. SAS for Data Managers (power users)--IR efficiency and effectiveness. How can power users better maximize features for customizing and automating?

3. SAS for Decision Makers (end users)--canned reports and dash boards. Is there a cost-effective way of providing commonly needed indicators to managers and administrators in a way useful to taking appropriate action?
