How can I escape a Sas program that runs for a very long time? Is there something equivalent to Ctrl+Break in VBA?

Same thing.  Ctrl+Break.  Although, it is rather finiky and you might have to press it multiple times and, if you miss the prompt, continue doing that (a little slower) until you can indicate what you would like to do.
