Hi everyone,

I need suggestions about how to move data from Path /sasdata to Azure ADSL2. I'm working with SAS Viya on Azure (HMS). I would like some tips about this.. perhaps scripts, jobs, shells to resolve.

Thanks a lot,

Claudio

Can you clarify what you mean by "data"?
ASFAIK ADLS2 is supported for CAS tables, Parquet and ORC libname and via filename.

Hi LinusH,

I mean about files like html, pdf, .jpg, .png, sashdat, sas7bdat, and also folders with these types... i need to move from /sasdata to ADSL2. I'm working with Viya on Azure (HMS)

Thanks,

To be able to read sas7bdat from SAS compute, you need to mount it.

See the community post:

Thanks to answer @LinusH , but that procedure we try with the help of SAS HMS Support, but the mentioned that has difficults in order to implement because of integration with Active Directory (users/groups) and permissions.

I expected that in a future SAS has a direct integration with ADLS2 perhaps as a PATH like NFS Azure NetApp or Lustre... but we need to wait..

I wonder about solutions with API, Operating System commands or Python Solution in order to move data..

@UttamKumar

Thanks,

Claudio
