Hello:

I got an error message while running macro.  Please help.  Thanks.

%macro rename(oldprefix, newprefix, num);

data want1;

set test;

%let k=1;

%do %while(&k <= &num);

rename &oldprefix.&k = &newprefix.&k;

%let k = %eval(&k + 1);

%end;

run;

%mend rename;

%rename(nad_dx,bd_dx,%cmpres(&cnt1.));

WARNING: Apparent symbolic reference CNT1 not resolved.

Nowhere in that code is the macro variable CNT1 defined.
