Any way to extract font modifiers from cells in an Excel sheet?

I'm attempting to import two documents where one is an updated version of the former for comparison, and was wondering if there is anyway to import font modifiers such as highlighting, color, or strikethrough into a SAS dataset?

Not easily. You can try looking at the source XML (XLSX files are zipped XML files) or using DDE was the previous method that is now deprecated.
