Allow pivot filters to be changed but have table layout protected

I have a dashboard which I send out to regional stakeholders that shows specific activity on a selected date. The backing data to this has to be hidden due to control of the message and other data protection issues.

One regional colleague wants access to some of the backing which could easily/safely be shown in a pivot. The issue is if I protect the worksheet I either have no ability to update the date filter or they can access data points they shouldn't have.

Is there anyway to have the pivot protected but allow only the filter to be adjusted
