Does anyone know how to calculate a persons age in proc sql using date of birth and todays function?
Hello,
I think that yrdif statement could be helpful. For example :
proc sql;
select employee_id, employee_name, int(yrdif(emp_Hire_date,today(),"ACTUAL")) as tenure,
Salary,int(yrdif(Birth_date,today(),'ACTUAL')) as Age
from arturo.salesstaff order by tenure desc;

Personally I prefer to stick with an old tried and tested formula:
Either can be used replacing the text before as Age.
