Good moring,

wondering if this great comunity can help m eiwth the following issue im having.

I have a script that creates an xls file from various datasets,

after creating the xls fle, i want to append a new worksheet(tab)

I cant seem to wrap my head around how i would do this.

the one i create using the script is dynamic in name

daily&yymm..xlsx"" "; so it will add the current date to the file,

and the workbook that contans the new tab is called  Dashboard.xls (Tab name,DASH)

PROC EXPORT with DBMS=XLSX supports adding sheets to an existing workbook.  I have some examples of using ODS EXCEL (to create  a workbook) and PROC EXPORT (to add new sheets) in this article.

Hi,

You can use the SAS libname engine

It depends a bit on your version of SAS and your version of excel.

If you're creating an XLS file try using the EXCEL libname to add the data or even PROC EXPORT with DBMS=XLS or DBMS=EXCEL.
