Access a java object in created in one data step in another datastep

I create a java object in one data step and would like to access it in another. Can someone tell me how to do this?

data _null_;

dcl javaobj rm(...);

run;

data _null_;
set dataset;
rm.callVoidmethod(...);
run;

Yes, everything seems to be done in just one data step. I need help referencing a javaobj created in one data step but used in another.

It's unclear what you want to accomplish in the two DATA steps, from my perspective. I am working with multiple data sets that cannot be merged together and need to reference the same javaobj workspace. So I would need multiple data steps.
