Hi: I started to use SAS Studio. I have two questions:

1. I would like to access files directly from my C drive and not upload them to the SAS server. Is that possible?

2. If files are saved to the SAS server, are they backed up in the SAS cloud? I do not want to save research files in the SAS cloud.

Thanks

  1. No, unless you run a file server on your PC and have the shared resource mojnted on the SAS server
  2. Depends on how you use SAS. If you use SAS on Demand for Academics, all the work is already done in the cloud, including backups. If you use an in-house server, then data only goes to an outside cloud if the server has been set up to copy data there (ask your admins).
