3- tier architecture

SAS AML runs on Three Tier Architecture, If am not wrong they are as follows

• SAS Metadata Server
• SAS Compute Server
• SAS Mid-tier Server

Could any one furnish the functionality in brief about these servers.

Compute Server hosts the Base SAS components, workspace, stored process, OLAP servers, and the spawner to start/connect to them

Mid-Tier hosts the web and web application servers (apache & tomcat) and therefore all web applications
