does "1" in  @001 "1" means a special header? why put "1"?

The program author decided to write a digit "1" in the first column of the text file fruit for each data line being written. You would need to ask them why they did that. AFAIK, it doesn't mean anything.

I found out it really does mean '1' and nothing else
