I know this has been suggested before, but the issue was closed. (https://communities.sas.com/t5/SAS-Visual-Analytics/Mouse-wheel-graph-interaction/td-p/435358)
We are about to publish reports for a big number of users with low computer experience. Using VA is a very small part of their daily job. To educate them all on how to avoid unintended zooming in graph objects, is not a feasible task.

A possibility to deactivate mouse wheel zoom would be a great increase in usability for our VA reports, and massively reduce our support burden.

I really hope you can consider implementing this soon. Thanks in advance.

@sashakar  Hi!

What's the status of the review?

Hi @FredrikHansson I have a few follow up questions for you - When you say you plan to "publish reports for a big number of users" how are you delivering these reports to your end users? Is it by using the Visual Analytics SDK in conjunction with the exporting of Report Packages (https://developer.sas.com/sdk/va/docs/guides/export-report-package) to embed the report in a web page, or do you plan to share the report with a number of users who will access the report within the Visual Analytics web application? If your answer is within the Visual Analytics web application, would your desired behavior be a report level setting similar to the 'Enable zoom and pan' option currently available for geomap objects?

Thank you!

Sasha

Hi @sashakar.

Sorry for the late response.

We are using a mix of report packages and guest users access to the Visual Analytics web application.

A report level setting (or object level setting) would be sufficient. But having a system wide setting for "Disable zoom in graphs", would be great!

Thank you!

Fredrik
