Situation:
In a child entity, we collect specific information that is displayed on a page within a tab using a Child Object Viewer control. We would now like to allow only certain users to export this data to an Excel sheet.
However, there are currently no permissions that allow us to restrict the export capability to specific Child Object Viewer controls. If the capability “Export from tables and grids” is granted, the user can export data from any table or grid.
Additionally, the option to manually copy/paste the entire grid is not optimal. We need a way to prevent users from selecting the entire grid and copying the content into Excel.
Suggestion / Request:
We propose adding a checkbox in the Child Object Viewer control properties that enables or disables Excel export for that specific control — similar to existing options like “hidden” or “read-only”, including support for conditions.
