On this forum please do not post duplicate posts in multiple areas. If a thread needs to be in a different place we may move it. Duplicate posts have can cause frustration because different people may responde in different areas an you could get the same question in each thread. So you think you have answered a question but not in the current thread.

A single thread also makes it easier for people using searches, either within the forum or from external engines like Google, to find an answer. If they find the duplicate that has no or incomplete responses then they may not find the one with the actual solution.

Since your other copy of this request has been solved, why not remove this one, and any other extras?

The hash OUTPUT method will overwrite a SAS data set, but not append. That can be costly. Consider voting for Add a HASH object method which would append a hash object to an existing SAS data set

Would enabling PROC SORT to simultaneously output multiple datasets be useful? Then vote for
Allow PROC SORT to output multiple datasets
