I have output looks like this:
rownum meat col01 col02
1 beef a1 a2
1 chicken b1 b2
1 pork c1 c2
2 beef a3 a4
2 chicken b3 b4
2 pork c3 c4
I want to change into format like below:
rownum colnum beef chicken prok
1 01 a1 b1 c1
2 01 a3 b3 c3
1 02 a2 b2 c2
2 02 a4 b4 c4
How can I do it in sql?
Thanks!
Do you need to do that using proc sql? Quite easy using proc transpose:
proc transpose data=have out=want name=colnum; var col01 col02; by rownum; id meat; run; data want; set want; colnum=compress(colnum,,'kd'); run;
