proc import datafile='\\svm-sas-server\folder\name.xlsx'
out=namefile dbms=xlsx replace;
sheet=namefile;
run;
Hi guys, this is a kind of import i've never seen. Could you help me understanding where the file come from? i mean, what is the svm-sas-server?
It isn't so much "what" is svm-sas-server as where. The \\ at the start indicates this should be a network URL and the name immediately following is the name of the server machine (or network share or whatever your network folks call it).
In a local network it is similar to a drive letter or disk mount point
