Hi....I am using the Proc Cluster analysis to group some data and would like to select, if it is possible, the Number of Clusters (NCL) based on the maximum value from the CCC. I am able to create a SAS Report and wondering if it is possible to work from the Cluster History Table that is generated in the Report. Thanks in advance.

what do you mean by working from the cluster history table?

You can create a dataset with the contents of the Cluster History Table using the ODS SELECT statement.

Add:

ods select ClusterHistory= yourlib.yourdataset; to the procedure syntax.

After that there are many ways to select the record with the largest CCC.

Hi Ballardw.....Thank you for your help. I ended up having to use  the statement " ods output ClusterHistory=ClusterHistory"  rather than select which created the dataset I wanted. Thanks once again.
