I am aware of this and use SAS code along those lines:

proc sql;
connect to TERADATA (OVERRIDE_RESP_LEN=YES SERVER=DBC AUTHDOMAIN="Bla" MODE=TERADATA);
create table SomeExcitingData as
Select *
from connection to teradata
(
....
);
disconnect from TERADATA;
quit;

Here ... contains SQL code which works perfectly fine when submitted to TeraData via SQL Assistant. Unfortunately, I get:

ERROR: Teradata row not delivered (trget): Numeric overflow occurred during computation.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Just be careful when you are moving big number, SAS does have restriction in length and precision for numeric column. If number is significantly large cast it to char

do you know, which column could be causing this and are number of records same for what you run in sql assistant and pass through are same?

I solved - cast(... as decimal(38,8)) solved the issue!
