Hello ,

I have a 'laptop_review.xls' file in the file SAS ( in C drive ) and want t permanently store this in SAS format in the same location.

I used the code for this :

libname 'C:\SAS\MySas';
proc import datafile='C:\laptop_review.xls' Out = excel replace;
getnames = yes;
title ' my work';
libname C:\SAS;
data abc.perm;
set excel;
run;
proc print data = abc.perm;
run;

But the file run in the output window it doesnt get store in the desired loaction.Kindly suggest.

I'll rewrite part of your code to fix the errors. By the way, did you look in your log file to find the errors? If so, please, next time, let us know what errors are in the log file.

libname abc 'C:\SAS';
proc import datafile='C:\laptop_review.xls' Out = abc.perm replace;
getnames = yes;
run;
