I want to put today's date in a title statement.  Instead of 12DEC11, I want the output to read December 11, 2011.  Can I use %sysfunc to do this?  If so, how?  Thanks.

Use the worddate format.

%let date1=%sysfunc(today(), worddate20.);

%put &date1;
