Hi ,

I have to read a daily refresh DB2 table on my mainfram SAS. Is there
any way to be sure the db2 table is updated or not before reading in?

I tried proc contents, but the last modified date is missing. Thanks
for your help in advance.

Hi

I believe a 'last modified date" for tables is something DB2 doesn't maintain and though SAS can't retrieve this information for the dictionnary tables.

What's done for most ETL's is either populating a row per table with a "last modified date" and/or maintain a control table where you store your when, with what data and what return codes you've run your code.
