Hi,
In SAS is there a function equivalent to the MID function in excel. I have a column with a 3 character data, in the form of

0x0
0y0
0z0
0x1
0x2

I want to create a new column from this data which contains the middle character
In essence the new field should have the following data

x
y
z

Is there a way I can do this.

Thanks
Shri
