capturing run time

Hi, is there a simple script/tool to capture how long a job runs? Example. If I kick off a job that is running a query, can I log the exact length of time from starting the job to when it completes? Thanks

Hi.
The usual answer to that is to store beginning and ending time (in seconds) in macro-variables, then substract.[pre]
%LET begin = %SYSFUNC(TIME()) ;
/* the job */
%LET end = %SYSFUNC(TIME()) ;
%PUT it took %SYSFUNC(ROUND(&end - &begin, 0.01)) seconds to complete the job ;
