Hi, I was unable to import an excel workbook with only one sheet into SAS 9.4.

I tried using the IMPORT/EXPORT option in the files and after inserting the file in the BROWSE option, I get a message, "failed. check log"

And the log says as follows.

ERROR: Connect: Class not registered
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.

I tried other methods as well. I tried the following codes but none of them worked

PROC IMPORT = "C:\Users\Arushi Arora\Desktop\data slum";
DATAFILE="filename"
<DBMS=EXCEL>
<OUT= ARUSHI.ANALYSIS>
<REPLACE>;

PROC IMPORT OUT = ANALYSIS
DATAFILE="C:\Users\Arushi Arora\Desktop\data slum\filename.xlsx"
DBMS=EXCELCS REPLACE;
RUN;

PROC IMPORT Datafile="C:\Users\Arushi Arora\Desktop\data slum\filename.xlsx"
DBMS=excelcs
OUT=ANALYSIS REPLACE;
Sheet="ARUSHI" ;
Run;

All these showed error.!!!!

HELP.

Try dbms=xlsx

Of course, it and all of the ones you tried assume that you license SAS/Access for PC File formats

Most of the time, it's one of the two:

- ACCESS to PC Files is not licensed

- or the same was not (correctly) installed

Do

proc setinit;
run;

and post the resulting log.

Thanks. The second code worked after changing the code with "xlsx"
