Hi,

I need to be able to put a hyperlink in the body of an EMAIL from a SAS application on Z/OS.

The current web link is very long and ugly.

Can you help?

Thanks. Steve.

Check today's archives - another request for EMAIL from SAS. Simply code the URL string (in a SAS PUT statement) with the http prefix as you would render in the browser address bar.

I know I can do that, but the http link stuff is so long and ugly.

When you send an EMAIL in Outlook(outside of SAS) you can change that long http thing to a short meaningful name. A MS thing, I was hoping to make it look nice.

If someone has a solution please let me know.

Thanks for responding.

It's an HTML tag, ANCHOR. You will need to generate an HTML-formatted EMAIL and use DATA step PUT statement(s) to output the HTML tags in the body of the EMAIL. Use the FILENAME EMAIL access method and a DATA step or settle for PROC-generated links, display-text and optionally ALT= tags.
