Hi, I have a very basic SAS question. I've used proc surveyreg and generated an output dataset that's structurally something like this:
Parameter Estimate
Intercept 5
Age 1 1
Age 2 2
Age 3 3
Age 4 0
I want to add the value of the intercept (5) to all of the beta coefficient estimates for ages 1-4, so that I get something like this:
Parameter Estimate Intercept_Plus_Estimate
Intercept 5 .
Age 1 1 6
Age 2 2 7
Age 3 3 8
Age 4 0 5
I could manually force SAS to do this by adding this line to a data step:
Intercept_Plus_Estimate = Estimate + 5
...but this requires me to first look at my results and figure out the value of the estimate for the intercept (5), and I'd rather automate this process.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Couldn't you just use something like:
data have;
informat Parameter $10.;
input Parameter & Estimate;
cards;
Intercept 5
Age 1 1
Age 2 2
Age 3 3
Age 4 0
;
data want;
set have;
retain Intercept;
if Parameter eq "Intercept" then Intercept=Estimate;
else Estimate=Estimate+Intercept;
run;
