Hello.

Is it at all possible to write a script that outputs your log? I'm running large scripts overnight and unfortunately the computer is turned off late, so I get the output but can't check it for errors.... well very easily.

Thanks Sam.

Try looking into proc printto. The documentation should be easy enough to follow.

Good luck!

Also recommend the particular SAS companion guide for your OS. And, with a batch-initiated SAS script, you have options for directly outputting the primary SASLOG (and also using ALTLOG= option as well).

run those scripts in batch mode
and add the start-sas option
-logparm "WRITE= IMMEDIATE"
( for SAS9)
or
-unbuflog
(for SAS8)
