Hi,

I am using MP/Connect for parallel processing and currently running 7 nodes from a single client session.

I am looking at probably increasing the nodes for parallel procession, can anyone tell me how many nodes are possible from a single client session.

Thanks in advance

I can't find anything in the documentation that would imply a syntactically limit for number of spawned processes. I did a test on Solaris and could easily spawn 100 processes. So from a possibility perspective, I guess going from seven to 100 would be than enough for you in the short term? I think you might take other things into account, such overall load, data throughput and such.

I bet it's limited only by the number of licensed nodes that you can connect to

and you can connect to a node more than once
