Our company is planning to license SAS Integration Technologies and install IOM server to access Oracle database in a client/server environment. As I am new to SAS/IT,I would be glad if anybody can tell me what are the minimum system requirements (hard disk space, memory etc) to install IOM bridge server and Metadata server on a Solaris 5 platform.

Thanks in advance

John

From a Google advanced search against the SAS.COM website, several technical documents are revealed - suggest starting here:

Thanks Scott.

I did go through the Administrators guide. It explains how a server can be set up and configure the applications etc.But nothing related to minimum system requirements.I found a document which in general gives minimum system requirements for SAS IT.It says 30-40 mb space is enough and no mention of RAM.I am confused if such small space is enough for setting up a server to deal with a 200gb oracle database.

You will find all this information within the SAS install centre:
http://support.sas.com/documentation/installcenter/

i.e:
Solaris SAS® 9.2 Foundation
System Requirements
for Solaris® for x64

It's also always a good idea to contact your SAS account manager and ask these questions so SAS can work out a proposal for your company which suits your specific needs. - And if you can: Don't stick too much to a hardware architecture for the solution. Ask for a proposal covering your needs which fits into the already existing architecture.
