Hi,
Would anyone know how to convert number value to date format?
right now this is my data output - the "RUN_MONTH" is the month
RUN_MTH | PLAN_TYPE |
3 | Heating |
3 | Heating |
5 | Heating |
4 | Cooling |
And I want the "RUN_MTH" column to change to Month date format.
RUN_MTH | PLAN_TYPE |
1-Mar-20 | Heating |
1-Mar-20 | Heating |
1-May-20 | Heating |
1-Apr-20 | Cooling |
I was thinking of using Data set to update the column but this code does not work out.
data Plan set Plan; format RUN_MTH date9.;
RUN_MTH=datepart(RUN_MTH); run;
Could someone please let me know the correct way to format this column?
Thank you,
If you have just the month number, use the MDY function to create the whole date:
run_mth = mdy(run_mth,1,2020);
format run_mth date9.;
If you have just the month number, use the MDY function to create the whole date:
run_mth = mdy(run_mth,1,2020);
format run_mth date9.;
Thank you @Kurt_Bremser 😊
