I have inherited a number of SAS datsets created in Proc SQL and need to delete the old user defined labels. I was wondering if there is a fast way to remove all of the old labels for each table without having to rerun all new queries and deleting them all manually.

Clarification: remove a SAS dataset label or remove one or more SAS variable label within a given dataset? Have you looked at PROC DATASETS - link below to example (found from SAS support http://support.sas.com/ website SEARCH):

if you want to get ride of a specific label for x inherited from an Olddata

    proc sql;

    create table Yourdata as select ...,...., oldX as x label =""

    from Olddata;

if x has a label that you want to remove

    Data Yourdata; set Yourdata;

    label x =;

    run;
