Regarding large files to open

Hi,

I am exporting an data to a notepad and its size is 414948 KB..When I tried to open that file am getting an error message “file is too large for notepad use another editor”.

Is there any way to split a data to two different file by using proc export?

Please let me know.

What NOTEPAD are you using? Is the Windows program?  If so then try using WORDPAD instead.

If you do want to use PROC EXPORT to create two or more files look into the dataset options FIRSTOBS and OBS.

proc export data=have(obs=10000) .... ;

proc export data=have(firstobs=10001) .... ;
