Hi i have created options obs=1 for some use now i want to make the obs= default

options obs=1;

data w1;

input id;

cards;

i have tryed to remove the options  by giving

obs=;

by it was showing error i know the i can give max obs as 1099511627776 is the default but i want to make it to default..

Use options obs=max. The actual value will vary depending on the version of SAS and your hardware.

xx  options obs=100;

xx  %put %sysfunc(getoption(obs));

100

xx  options obs=max;

xx  %put %sysfunc(getoption(obs));
